A Hutchinson resident since 1985, he was manager of the former Dock 44 Discount Store, Hutchinson, and at the time of his death was assistant manager of Gibson’s Discount Center, Garden City.He was a member of the Countryside Baptist Church, Hutchinson, and had served in the U.S. Army.On Aug. 22, 1959, he married Joan Marie Tigner at the United Methodist Church in Sterling. She survives.Other survivors include a son, John, of the home; a daughter, Lori Klaassen, 1422 East 26th; two brothers, Victor, McPherson; and Wayne, Oakland, Iowa; and a sister, Velma Meriowsky, Wichita.Age 54, 1st Lt, KS Nat’l Guard, 69th Infantry Brigade
