George Melvin Hood was born in 1844 in Bath, New York. He married Mercy J. Fuller on January 22, 1867. They had six children in 15 years. He died on November 10, 1921, in Sterling, Kansas, at the age of 77.
Mercy J. Fuller was born in 1849 in Wheeler, New York, her father, Chester, was 24, and her mother, Dolly, was 26. She married George Melvin Hood on January 22, 1867. They had six children in 15 years. She died on March 12, 1885, at the age of 36.
George Milton Hood is the baby sitting on the lap of his father, George M. Hood. Also pictured is George M Hood’s first wife, Mercy J Hood. This photo belonged to George M Hood’s granddaughter, Beulah Hood.
