STRATFORD, Texas – Audraff Kimball, 96, died Aug. 29, 2009, at Coldwater Manor Nursing Home, Stratford, Texas. She resided at the Good Samaritan Lodge in Hutchinson, Kan., the preceding nine years, where she had many good friends. Audraff was affectionately known as “Audie” to her family and friends. Born on Aug. 5, 1913, in Bulyea, Saskatchewan, Canada, she was the daughter of William and Lenora Lemele Stull of Arlington, Kan. Audie attended school in Arlington, Kan., and on Oct. 30, 1940, was married to Keith Kimball of Sterling, Kan. Audie’s life work was her home and family. She loved to garden, sew, and her family would say that she made the best sandhill plum jelly around. She and her husband Keith had three sons, Richard, Garlon, and Kenton Kimball. Richard and Garlon were killed in a car accident on Dec. 27, 1958. Her husband Keith died on July 17, 1999. Kenton Kimball is now engaged in farming and ranching in Stratford, Texas. Her brother, Fred Stull, preceded her in death on April 12, 1982.

Audie is survived by her son, Kenton and his wife Nancy of Stratford, Texas; two grandchildren, Julie, and Wes Kimball, both now reside in Austin, Texas. She is also survived by a large extended family of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Audie was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses all her life and attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Hutchinson, Kan.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary. Burial will be in Sterling Cemetery, Sterling. Thomas E “Papa Thom” Kendrick died Aug 15, 2006 at Hutchinson Hospital. He was born Jan 5, 1931 in Manter, the son of Chester David and Sarah Jane Orman Kendrick. A resident of Hutchinson for the past three months, formerly of Minneapolis, he was a retired salesman.
He was a member of Veteran of Foreign Wars, Minneapolis, and Disabled American Veterans. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
On Jun 17, 1951, he married Yvonne Ima Trammell in Johnson. She survives.
Other survivors include: three sons, two daughters, three sisters, 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Gary; and two sisters, Mary Lou McKinney and Dolores McCray.
Private graveside services were held in Sterling Community Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Fort Riley Honor Guard.
