Joseph Alexander Schuyler was born in 1843 in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.  His father, Michael, was 38 and his mother, Elizabeth, was 35. He married Eunice Phelina Schuyler in October 1883. He died in July 1896 in Enterprise, Kansas, at the age of 56, and was buried in Sterling, Kansas.

Killed by Lightning.

Jos. A. Schuler, who lived nine miles south of town, was killed by a stroke of lightning, Monday evening.  He ate his supper about 8 o’clock and had gone out to the barn. When struck, he was standing by a shed. Mr. Schuyler was 56 years, 8 months, and two days old, born in Hamilton County, Ohio in 1842.   He held membership in the Meade Post  of the G.A.R. in  Sterling.  Rev. L.O. Blake conducted the funeral service at the U. B. church here, and the remains were interred in the Cottonwood Cemetery, on Tuesday, July 7, at 2 p.m.  Mr. Schuyler was a veteran of the late war, having served in Co. C. 42nd Indiana volunteers.

Allan Palmer was born in 1853. He married Eunice Phelina Stockwell on February 6, 1876. He died in 1883 at the age of 30.

David Joseph McFarland was born on November 11, 1854, in Indiana. He married Eunice Phelina Stockwell in October 1883. They had one child during their marriage. He died on August 16, 1902, in Sterling, Kansas, at the age of 47.

Albert Carl Wagner was born on July 21, 1863, in Janesville, Wisconsin. He married Eunice Phelina Stockwell  in Kansas. He died on February 24, 1925, in Sterling, Kansas, at the age of 61.

Joseph A Shuyler was born on October 4, 1842, in Indiana. He married Eunice Phelina Stockwell. He died in 1896 at the age of 54.

William Oliver was born in 1837. He married Eunice Phelina Stockwell in Garden City, Kansas. They had one child during their marriage.

William Wilbur Benson was born on December 11, 1861. He married Eunice Phelina (Stockwell)
