After a short struggle with consumption, Mrs. M. A. Edwards died on Friday, April 12th at her home in the southeast part of town. Her life was 56 years, 6 months and 9 days. The services were held at the Adventist church on Saturday, at 2 p.m., and were largely attended. Mrs. Edwards came to Rice county in the early seventies and passed through all the pioneer experiences of the community. She was a woman of excellent worth, and a devout Christian.
