Sterling – Rosa L. Bennett, 90, died Nov. 18, 2004, at her home, rural Sterling. She was born May 16, 1914, at Little River, the daughter of John Wesley and Ruth Luellia Long Wampler. She graduated from Lyons High School in 1932. A longtime Sterling resident, she was a homemaker. She belonged to County Women HDU. On Dec. 31, 1933, she married Glen Allyn Bennett at Mitchell. He died Feb. 13, 2003.
Other survivors include two sons, Gerald, Sterling, and Everette, Hutchinson, a daughter, Anita McCoy, Venette, Brighton, Colo.; nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Frank, Ansel, John and George Wampler; and two sisters, Ethel Wampler and Lois Retuta.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday With Pastor Harold Nelson presiding. Burial will be in Sterling Cemetery.
