Ocie E. Burk, 80, formerly of Hutchinson died Friday at Lyons Municipal Hospital. Born Aug. 24, 1896 at Nickerson, she was married to Earl R. Burk, Sept. 10, 1918 at Sterling. He died Feb. 23, 1973. She moved to Hutchinson in 1946 from Nickerson and was currently residing at the Good Samaritan Home, Lyons.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Acacia Chapter of OES, both of Hutchinson.
Survivors include son: Robert L., 1624 East 2nd, Hutchinson; daughter: Mrs. Pauline Recember, Milton, Fla.; sisters: Mrs. Hattie Horton, Nickerson; Mrs. Flossie Speer, McPherson; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Sterling Cemetery. (From Hutchinson News)Family links:
