In early life he united with the United Presbyterian church, and remained a devoted and consistent member until his death. In his home he was a kind, loving and considerate husband and father, optimistic in all his views. In his public and civic life he commanded the respect and confidence of all men. He will be sadly missed by all his friends and loved ones, but our thought of him is that of a good man gone to his reward.
