Cleveland Wertz was born on October 13, 1885, in Ohio. He married Theodosia Allen Warden in December 1934 in Sterling, Kansas. He died on Feb 7, 1970, in Colorado, at the age of 84.

Theodosia Allen Warden was born on February 18, 1891, in Goddard, Kansas, her father, Emory, and her mother, Carrana, was 37. She married Arthur Edward Ringeisen and they had two children together. She then married Cleveland Wertz in December 1934 in Sterling, Kansas. She died on November 29, 1973, in Larned, Kansas, at the age of 82.
