Andrew McNeeley Richardson’s parents were John and Louisa DeLany Richardson. He was named after his mother’s maternal grandfather, Andrew McNeely. Sometime between 1857 and 1860, the family moved from Ohio to a large 160-acre farm in Pettis County, Missouri. When the Civil War broke out they returned to Ohio but then returned to Missouri after the war. Andrew moved to the New Mexico Territory in 1878 where he met his wife Maria Benina Lucero. Together they raised 7 children. Andrew is buried next to his brother, Melvin, in Cottonwood Cemetery, Sterling, Kansas.

ROY R. RENOLLET

Roy R. Renollet, 82, died Aug. 14, 1991, at Silver Oak Health Center, Hutchinson.

He was born July 27, 1909, in Rice County, the son of Henry A and Mattie Lyons Renollet. A lifetime Rice County resident, he was a mechanic for the Sterling Drilling Co., Sterling. He was a former city councilman and a former mayor of Sterling.

He was a member of the Forest Park United Presbyterian Church, Hutchinson, and the Lions Club, Sterling. He was a former member of the Civil Air Patrol.

On Oct. 5, 1930, he married Annabelle Fenwich at Inman. She died on March 11, 1991.

Survivors include six sons, Henry, Bartlesville, OK; Roy Jr., Arkansas City, Rod and Bob, both of Hutchinson, Gene, Spring Hill, and Lyle, Sterling, one brother, Paul, Sterling; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Services were at 10:30 Saturday at Porter,& Sillin Funeral Home in Sterling with Rev. Richard Clark presiding. Burial will be in the Sterling Community Cemetery, Sterling.

Memorials may be sent to Reno County Hospice to care of the funeral home.
