Andrew McNeeley Richardson’s parents were John and Louisa DeLany Richardson. He was named after his mother’s maternal grandfather, Andrew McNeely. Sometime between 1857 and 1860, the family moved from Ohio to a large 160-acre farm in Pettis County, Missouri. When the Civil War broke out they returned to Ohio but then returned to Missouri after the war. Andrew moved to the New Mexico Territory in 1878 where he met his wife Maria Benina Lucero. Together they raised 7 children. Andrew is buried next to his brother, Melvin, in Cottonwood Cemetery, Sterling, Kansas. Family links:
