MEMORIAL
A tribute by the Center Christian Endeavor Society to the memory of Jessie Walton, a fellow member who died July 29, 1894, “The all wise Father has permitted the hand of death to be laid upon our sister, Jessie Walton, we feel constrained to unite in an expression of esteem and regard for her qualities of character as an example of piety and of noble endeavor to qualify herself for usefulness to the life that was so brightly opening before her; and of sympathy for the father and mother, the brother and sisters, who have lost from their midst one so lovable and true in her family relationship.
Knowing this is a debt we all must pay sooner or later and that she is now removed from the reach of the temptations of this world, we wish to cheerfully accept the sorrowful dispensation as being in accordance with Divine wisdom and to recognize in it the language to us. “Be ye also ready.” Oran Clark, President, Bertha Newby, Secretary.
