She was born Jan. 26, 1919, at Alton, the daughter of John and Rosetta Shroyer Shotts. A Sterling resident since 1946, formerly of Osborne County, she was a homemaker.

She attended Assembly of God Church, Sterling, belonged to AARP, Silver Threads and T.M.T., all of Sterling.

On July 20, 1941 she married Alvin F. Yost at Meade. He died Oct. 1, 1995.
