 Obituary Reads…John Welda, one of Sterling’s oldest citizens, died at his home on Eighth Street, Tuesday morning after a long continued illness. His wife being also sick and unable to leave her bed the funeral was held at the residence on yesterday afternoon. The service, conducted by Rev. Woodward, were attended by a large number of sympathizing neighbors and friends. Father-in-law to Sarah H. (McMillen) Welda and Grandparents to Clarence Roy and Clara Belle Welda.Family links: Spouse: Catharine B. Kimber Welda (1818 – 1892)
