Sterling – Russell Dallas Van Horn, 35, resident of the Chase and Sterling communities all his life, died in Sterling, Colorado Tuesday. He had been in ill health for a year.
Mr. Van Horn was born Jan. 17, 1916 in Alden. He was a driller for the Donald T. Ingling Co. before becoming ill.
Survivors are the widow, Josephine; a son, Larry; a daughter, Joyce, all of the home; his mother, Mrs. Elsie Van Horn, Sterling; a sister, Mrs. Evelyn Etter, Pasadena, Calif.; and three brothers, Kenneth and Richard, Sterling, and Lionel, Chase.
The funeral was held Friday at the Porter funeral home at Sterling with burial in the Sterling cemetery.
