Death of Will Tucker
James William Tucker was born in Memphis, Mo., August 21, 1866, and died in Sterling, Kansas December 20, 1903, aged 34 years, 4 months. He removed with his parents to Kansas on January 13, 1879, and was married to Ollie Mood, January 1, 1895. To this union were born six children, who with a mother, sister and three brothers mourn his departure.
He was an affectionate and loving husband, son, father, and brother. The funeral was conducted in the Methodist church by Dr. Strong and Rev. Waldron on account of the illness of his pastor. In charge of the Knights of Pythias, the remains were buried in the Cottonwood Cemetery.
