Archie Stone was born in Cass County, Iowa. When he was only a few months old, his parents moved to Republic County, Kansas. When he was a young man he attended Lane University. Then he taught school for several years. After his marriage, he, with his wife, went to Linn County, Iowa. There he farmed and taught school. About 1906 they moved to Sterling, Kansas, where they have since resided. Archie has been in the dairy business most of the time. One of the things worthy of mention is that Archie and Aseneth have assisted about 50 boys to earn their way through the United Presbyterian College at Sterling.

Asenath Hinshaw was born in Kansas. She is the daughter of a United Brethren preacher. She attended school at Lane University.

Ruth stone was born in Linn County, Iowa. When very young she went with her folks to Sterling, Kansas. She has been ill a great deal and her college work was interrupted many times. She persisted, however, and graduated cum laude from Sterling (Kansas) college at the age of 40 with special recognition. She has at various times been a teacher and is at present doing home misison work at Valley Farms, Arizona
