STERLING, KAN. — Charlotte L. “Lottie” Slupski, 86, of Sterling, Kan., and formerly of Whittier, Calif., died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007, at Sandstone Heights Nursing Home, Little River, Kan.
Born in Hamtramck, Mich., on Dec. 17, 1920, she was a daughter of Jozef and Elzbieta (Stelmach) Suchacz.
She graduated from Coal Township High School, Coal Township, Pa.
She was married in Hartford, Conn., on May 16, 1945, to Richard R. Slupski, who died on Feb. 14, 1987.
During World War II, she worked for Pratt and Whitney Aircraft Co. as an IBM key punch operator.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and attended St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, both in Lyons, Kan.
She was a member of the Sterling Silver Threads, the Jolly Bunch, Sterling, and the Episcopal Church Women.
Survivors include a son, Timothy R. Slupski of Sterling, Kan.; two daughters, Carol A. Peterson of Clayton, N.C., and Jill A. Stromberg of Sterling, Kan.; seven grandchildren, Matthew T. Peterson of Canton, Ga., Christina M. Peterson of Clayton, N.C., Wallace and Richard Stromberg of Manhattan, Kan., Joseph Stromberg of Sterling, Kan., Cole Slupski of Sterling, Kan. and Alexis P. Slupski of Wichita, Kan., and a great-grandchild, Chelsea M.J. Russell of Clayton, N.C. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and Edward Suchacz, and two sisters, Helen Mroz and Alma Suchacz.
