Glen T. Shepherd
STERLING – Glen T. Shepherd. 82, died Oct. 9.2000 at Hutchinson Hospital.
He was born Dec. 28, 1917, at Alden. the son of Claud Thomas and Alta Bradley Shepherd. A Sterling resident since 1946, he was a retired vice-president of Farmers State Bank, Sterling.
He belonged to First Baptist Church, Sterling, where he was a church deacon and trustee. He was a US. Army veteran of WW2.
On Dec. 16, 1939. he married Mary Ann Houston at Sterling. She survives.
Other survivors include a daughter. Mary Kay Fritzemeier, Independence; three brothers, Kenneth and Dale, both of Sterling. and C.T. Wichita; and a granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by a son. Bradley Houston.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church. Sterling, with the Rev. Herman Van Arsdale presiding. Burial will be in Sterling Community Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to the church or to the Sterling Public Library. both in care of Sillin Funeral Home. Sterling.
