 Age 85 ——— STERLING – Jack Schleuning, 85, died July 21, 2013, in Sterling. He was born July 19, 1928, in Lincoln, Neb., the son of Jacob and Kathryn Schwindt Schleuning.A Lyons resident for 25 years, moving to Sterling in 1977, he was a 1947 graduate of Bison High School in Bison, Kan., he owned Jack’s Auto Sales of Lyons, was an independent Petroleum Engineer, he managed MMCI Mobile Home Sales of Sterling and he was of Methodist faith.Dec. 22, 1949, he married June Foster in Clayton, NM. Survivors include: his wife, June Schleuning; son, Steve Schleuning and wife Angie of Overland Park, Kan.; daughter, Sue Schleuning of Sterling; two grandchildren and a great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Elmer, Ruben, Edward, Eugene and Levi Schleuning; a sister, Viola Manchester. – Connie Schwindt Rumold Added: Jan. 20, 2015 Funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 25, 2013, at Birzer Funeral Home, Sterling.
