Estella May Riner Obituary
Estella May Riner, a lifetime resident of Sterling, died Friday, Oct. 9, 1998, at her home at the age of 95.
She was born Jan. 31, 1903, at La Crosse, the daughter of John Ralph and Nellie May Hallock Bunn. She was a seamstress and a homemaker.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Sterling.
On Aug. 8, 1931, she married John Henry Riner at Sterling. He died Nov. 1, 1949.
Survivors include a son, Forrest Riner, Sterling; a daughter, Carol Palfenier, Park Forest, Ill.; a sister, Helen Osenbaugh, Hutchinson; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, John Edward Riner and Donald Paul Riner, five brothers and three sisters.
Services were held a 1 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church, Sterling, with Pastor Grant Davis officiating. Burial was in the Sterling Community Cemetery.
