 Husband of (1) Rose Mary Bane Proffitt, marrried 1-26-1972 (2) Sandra Smith Proffitt, married 10-15-2008. Father of Frank & James Proffitt, Gebe Center, Charlie Osbourn, Chad Osbourn (deceased), Aaron Givens, Chris Ball, Ruth Ann & Hannah Proffitt, Erica Tamez, Velma Martinez and Angela Richardson. Son of Charles Wayne and Ruth Elaine Flessner Proffitt. Brother of Vickie Davis. Grandfather of 68 and Great-Grandfather of 8. Curtis died as the result of a motorcycle accident. Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church in Sterling, with Rev. Marvin Ewertt officiating. Burial will be at Sterling Community Cemetery.
