STERLING – Mary Lu McNutt, 67, died Nov. 30, 2010, at Hospice House in Hutchinson. She was born Aug. 13, 1943, in Chase, Kan., to Ralph B. Sr. and Violet Ilene Wolfe McNutt. She was a lifetime Sterling resident. For 46 years she worked for the Farmers Co-op Union in Sterling. She graduated from Sterling High School in 1961 and Salt City Business College in Hutchinson. Survivors include: sisters, Linda McNutt of Sterling, Teri Eskandari of Phoenix, Ariz., and Carole Bengston of Inman, Kan.; brother, Earl McNutt of Sterling; seven nieces and five nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Larry, Ralph Jr., Jerry, Russell and Tom McNutt. Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010, at Birzer Funeral Home, Sterling, with Reverend Robert Friesen officiating. Burial at Sterling Community Cemetery. Visitation 9 a.m. to service time Saturday at the funeral home. The casket will remain closed. Memorials may be sent to Center for Basic Cancer Research KSU.
