David S Knouse was born on May 10, 1837, in Westmoreland City, Pennsylvania, his father, Daniel and his mother, Maria. He married Lorenda M Swain in Union City, Indiana. They had three children during their marriage. He died on March 25, 1896, in Sterling, Kansas, at the age of 58.
Lorenda M Swain was born in January 1847 in Ohio. She married David S Knouse in Union City, Indiana. After his death in 1896 she married Cornelius Stahl in 1902.
