| STERLING – Gordon S. Kling, Sr., 94, died Oct. 30, 2011. He was born March 21, 1917, to Adolph Sigfrid and Anna Carlstedt Kling.
On June 30, 1944, he married Ethel Regina Basye. She died Feb. 22, 2002. Survivors include: sons, Gordon S., Jr., Dr. David W., Rev. Paul E. and Philip C.; a daughter, Miriam E. Pederson; 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 7, 2011, at United Presbyterian Church, Sterling. Visitation 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Birzer Funeral Home, Sterling. Burial in Sterling Community Cemetery. Memorials to Sterling College, the church or Sterling Presbyterian Manor in care of the funeral home.
