GLEASON Clara Jean Gleason – Age 84, went to be with the Lord on February 19, 2008 at Hill County Memorial Hospital, Fredericksburg, TX. She was born on September 19, 1923 in Enid, OK. She is the daughter of Oliver G. and Marion L. Wilson. She was a resident of Johnson City, TX for 15 years, formerly of San Antonio, TX and Sterling, KS. She was a retired business manager for Sterling College for 25 years. She graduated from Miltonvale High School in 1942 and attended Marion College, Marion, Indiana in 1943 and 1944. She was a member of United Presbyterian Church in Sterling and attended Liberty Lighthouse Fellowship in Johnson City, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clair L. Gleason on June 29, 1986 and brother, Beverly Wilson. She is survived by daughters, Jeanette L. Johnson of Johnson City, TX and Dr. Marla J. Gleason Paslay of Bay Minette, AL; brothers, Charles R. Wilson of Brooksville, FL and John P. Wilson of San Diego, CA; sister, Eleanor M. Buckman of Johnson City, TX; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at 2pm at United Presbyterian Church, Sterling with Rev. Seth Svaty officiating. Burial will be in the Sterling Community Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9 am-12 Noon at Birzer- Sillin Funeral Home and from Noon until service time at the church. The casket will remained closed. Memorials can be made to Sterling College.
