Zada and her husband Josiah D. Edgar were missionaries in Turkey. Terrible experiences of the Armenian massacres there, brought on a complete nervous breakdown from which she never fully recovered.
They returned to the states and served several pastorates. They had 5 children. In 1931 Rev. Dodds began a new work in Sin Diego, CA with his second wife, Miss Lucille Dill of Eskridge whom he married in 1931.
