Born April 21, 1919, in Reno County, he married Edith Green Oct. 20, 1946, at Lordsburg, N.M. She died May 30, 1953. He was a retired welder and city of Sterling employee and was a lifetime resident of Sterling.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was a member of the American Legion, Sterling.

Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Friday at the Porter & Sillin Funeral Home, Sterling, the Rev. Arthur Gathman. Burial will be at Sterling Community Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
