STERLING – James Robert Buel Sr., 78, died here unexpectedly at noon Saturday February 23, 1957 from a heart attack.
He was born in Sugar Grove, PA., Nov, 13, 1878 to Dwight W Buel and Kezia Eliza Falconer Buel. He lived in Sterling 48 years. Mr. Buel was a livestock dealer and a member of the Modern Woodmen’s Lodge.
Survivors include the widow, Nellie, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Helen McMurphy and Mrs. Dorothy Neal, Sterling; three sons, James Jr. and Dwight, both of Sterling, and Donald, Greeley, Colo.; a sister, Mrs. L. L. Harper, Temple City, Calif.; 16 grandchildren and 3 greatgrandchildren.
