Lloyd Dean “Harvey” Boeken, 50, died June 9, 2001, at Lyons District Hospital in Lyons, Kansas.He was born April 25, 1951, in Great Bend, KS, the son of Theodore F. and Hilda Drews Boeken. He married Rebecca Sue Cruth June 26, 1971, in Great Bend.A resident of Sterling since 1974, coming from Claflin, he was a contract pumper and engineer. Boeken was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Sterling.Survivors included his wife of the home; three sons, Troy D. Boeken, Travas D. Boeken and Tyler D. Boeken, all of Sterling; his mother of Hutchinson; one sister, Linda Specht of Santa Maria, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.
