Mr. I.D. Black, Justice of the Peace in Sterling township, died on Monday morning of consumption, and was buried on Tuesday. Mr. Black was serving his second term as Justice at the time of his death. He had been a resident of our city for several years.  During the war he served in the Union army and was severely wounded by a ball striking him in the mouth and lodging against the neck bone. The ball was never removed and his wound was probably the primary cause of his disease and death. He leaves a wife, who is the sister of the Evans Bros, and one son.
