Sterling: – Charlotte Ball, 81, died July 9, 2000, at her home in Sterling. She was born Nov. 28, 1918, at Fort Worth, Texas, the daughter of DDS. Joseph Glenn and Alice Elizabeth(Kohr) Tippin. She graduated from Sterling College. A Sterling resident since 1946, she was a homemaker and retired teacher.
She belonged to Sterling United Presbyterian Church, where she was a deacon. Presbyterian Woman, the mutual Benefit Club, AAUW, Retired Teachers and the Mutual Improvement Club.
On May 26, 1939, she married Ralph Ball at Olathe. He died Oct. 5, 1998. Survivors include a son, Bill, Sterling; a daughter Charlene Wilson, Kansas City Mo.; two brothers, Kenneth Tippin, Kansas City, Mo., and Robert Tippin, Wichita; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Tippin.
Funeral will be at 10″30 a.m. Wednesday at Sterling United Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Glen Holman presiding. Burial will be in Sterling Community Cemetery.
