Barbara L. Asher of Lathrop, Mo., 57, died March 27, 2004 at North Kansas City Hospital in Kansas City, Mo. She was a former Sterling resident.
She was born Aug. 10, 1946, at McPherson, the daughter of Glenn and Juanita Clark Unruh, and was later adopted by Richard Harrison.
She graduated from Sterling High School, and was a medical lab technician in Cameron, Mo., and former Hutchinson News employee for 25 years.
She married David Asher. He survives
funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Prairie Ridge Christian Union Church in Polo, Mo. A graveside service will be Monday, Apr5, at 1 p.m. at the Sterling Cemetery, in Sterling.

Clyde F.Arnold
Clyde F. Arnold, a resident of Sterling since 1959, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 1990, at Hutchinson Hospital at the age of 90.
He was born July 25, 1900, at Beaumont, the son of Orville and Elsie Matilda McCullough Arnold. He was a retired oil field worker for Sunray Oil Co. and was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Sterling.
On Feb. 2, 1920, he married Mae Dovey Murphy at Independence. She died Sept. 13, 1989. Survivors include a son, Kenneth, Great Bend; three daughters, Betty Miller, and Wilman Breeden, both of Sterling, and Elnora Pressley, Carlisle, S.C.; two brothers, Rance, Arkansas City, and Robert, Hillsboro; 12 grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and two step-great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held Friday afternoon at 3:00 at Porter and Sillin Funeral Home with the revs. James Graves and J. P. McCarney officiating. Burial was in the Sterling Community Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the Shrine Burn Center in care of the funeral home.
