Joseph Craig Spotts, 58, of Glenwood, Iowa, formerly of Sterling, Kansas and Omaha, Nebraska, entered into eternal rest on June 1, 2008 in Pottawattamie County, Iowa. He was born on December 26, 1949 to The Rev. Dr. Alfred and Jean (Creswell) Spotts in New Brighton, Pennsylvania.

Joe was raised in Sterling, Kansas and graduated both from high school and college there. He moved to Omaha, Nebraska, where he was employed as a clerk for the U.S. Postal Service for over twenty-five years. Joe and his family moved to Glenwood in 1986. His two daughters, Libby and CeCe were both the ultimate light of his life. Their friends also referred to him as “Dad” and he gave the best hugs of all time. Joe was a cancer survivor since the Winter of 2006 and was proud to walk the survivor lap on Saturday, May 31, 2008. He loved to garden and enjoyed shopping for antiques. Traveling to see his family, taking long drives in the country and listening to music also gave Joe great pleasure. Joe was a kind and caring person who always put others before himself. He touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Joe is survived by his daughters, Libby Spotts of Iowa City, Iowa; CeCe Spotts of Glenwood, Iowa; parents, The Rev. Dr. Alfred and Jean Spotts of Cortez, Colorado; brothers and sisters, Rev.
