From obituary Sterling Kansas Bulletin, 26 Sep 1912.

A portion of an obituary written by a son of Mrs. Stephen gleaned from the Sterling Bulletin–

Only child of John and Mary Beale was born in Manchester, England, Oct. 14, 1839. Died at the home of her elder daughter and husband, Dr. and Mrs. A. C. Potter, Hutchinson, KS, August 8th, 1912.

Christened in the Episcopal Church, on Easter Sunday, March 31, 1860 she married Henery Stephen Wilson in Wigan, England.

10 children were born to them, 2 died in infancy, John Richard at the age of 47, and William Israel at the age of 23 – being the eldest and youngest respectively.   ..temperance work, and was an inspiration to everyone to live a better life.

She was the grandmother of eleven children, and great-grandmother of one. For many years she spent her winters in the South, and the summer of her Golden wedding year, she, with her husband, celebrated their Golden wedding in the church in which they were married.

She was a member of Sterling chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Her husband and all her children, except one son, Edmund, with whom it was impossible to communicate were at her bedside when the end came. The funeral service was conducted at the home of Dr. and Mrs. A.C. Potter, Hutchinson by Dr. C. B. Sargent, of the Episcopal church at that place, who also read the service of burial, assisted by Rev. O. W. Lippincott, of Alden and she was laid to rest beside her two sons in Cottonwood Cemetery, Sterling, Kansas, on the 10th day of August 1912.
