Death of Mrs. Blades – – Sadness has again come to the home of the sexton of our cemetery, F. S. Blades. In the early morning hours of Friday, November 21st, his wife passed away at the home place on North Sixth street.  For eight weeks she had been bedfast, her death being caused by a tumor. A son and one daughter had previously been taken from them, leaving now three boys and two girls, besides the husband. Deceased was a first cousin of S.R. Daniels, who is, also a resident of this city. She was born January 11th, 1861, in Sciota County, Ohio, and married Mr. Blades in ’79.  Rev. Ira Bundy conducted a short funeral service at the house last Friday evening at 7:30 and the remains laid to rest Saturday morning at 8:30 besides those children who had preceded her to the better land. Many friends of the bereaved extend sympathy at this hour.

Survivors include her husband Frank Shelby of Sterling, Kansas; three sons Frank Sandys, William Cornelius and Andrew Jackson; two daughters Zella and Rose Mary.
