STERLING — Patricia Terrell Harris, 66, died April 24 at Hospice House in Hutchinson. Born Oct. 1, 1943, in Kingman, she was the daughter of Wayne E. and Helen G. Wells Terrell Evans. Raised in Sterling, she graduated from Sterling High School and attended Wichita State University. Returning two years ago from San Diego, Calif., she was a retired administrative assistant for San Diego Gas and Electric. She married Jon Harris of Wichita. They later divorced. She married Don Walton of San Diego in 1977. They later divorced but remained very dear friends.

Ms. Harris was a member of the San Diego Friends of the Zoo.

Survivors include her mother, Helen Evans of Sterling; three sisters, Linda Welch of Wichita, and Ellen Evans and Judy Terrell, both of Topeka; a sister-in-law, Donna Terrell of Alden; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Gene Evans and Dennis Terrell; stepfather, Fayne Evans; and a nephew, Corey Welch.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Sterling Community Cemetery with the Rev. Marvin Ewert officiating. Memorials are suggested to the Reno County Hospice House of Hutchinson or Sterling United Methodist Church, all in care of the funeral home. Funeral arrangements provided by
