Obituary from Delta Independent, Delta, Colorado May 4, 1917
On Monday evening death came to relieve the suffering of Mrs. Edna Woleslagel, beloved wife of J. E. Woleslagel, at the family home on California mesa, four miles from Olathe. The cause of death was euremic poisoning after a 2 week illness. Leaving husband and two children, an eigth year old girl and four year old boy. The funeral occurred on Wedneesday from the church on the California mesa and the remains were shipped to Sterling, Kansas for interment.
The family came to the Western slope almost six years ago from Kansas and are mong the most highly respected citizens of the community. Deceased was a cousin of Mayor Stewart of Delta.
