Born March 20, 1900, at Preston, he married Faye Ferguson June 1, 1927, at Tonganoxie. She died July 24, 1975. He then married Delphia D. Osser Jan. 29, 1976. He was owner of the Simon Mercantile Co., Turon, the Simon Sundries, Wichita, and Simon Farms, Inc. He was a longtime Turon and Wichita resident.He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Wichita. Survivors: wife, of the home; son, A.F. Simon, San Diego; brother, Loren Simon, Preston; and two grandchildren. Funeral: 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Porter-Sillin Funeral Home, Sterling, with Rev. George McCall officiating. Burial will be in the Sterling Community Cemetery. Memorials may go to First Presbyterian Church, Wichita.
