Mary Ann Seward was born about 1838, in Coshocton County, Ohio. She married William Parker Edwards on December 21, 1856, in Howard County, Indiana. They had two children during their marriage. She died on April 11, 1895, at the age of 57.

MRS. M.A. EDWARDS
After a short struggle with consumption, Mrs. M. A. Edwards died on Friday, April 12th at her home in the southeast part of town. Her life was 56 years, 6 months and 9 days. The services were held at the Adventist church on Saturday, at 2 p.m., and were largely attended. Mrs. Edwards came to Rice county in the early seventies and passed through all the pioneer experiences of the community. She was a woman of excellent worth, and a devout Christian.
