Elbert A. :Al: Hurd, Wichita, formerly of Sterling and McCook, Neg., died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 1001, at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita, at the age of 56. He was employed as an electronics technician for Richmond Electric Co., Wichita.
Born June 17, 1934, in Kingman, he married Laura Ann Broomfield on May 23, 1978, in Miami, OK. She died on July 19, 1989.
He was a retired master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force and had served in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the VFW, Moose Lodge, Eagles Lodge, Elks Lodge, and the Air Force Sergeants Association.
Survivors include three sons, Michael W., Bartlesville, OK; Gary E. and Matt Hurd, Hutchinson; two daughters Patricia Y. Unruh, Halstead, and Pamela A. Roth, Hutchinson; two brothers, Arlan Hurd, Altus, Ok, and Edward Hurd, Hutchinson; a sister, Edith McLeskey, Hutchinson.
