Miss Jean Calderwood, 75, died Friday morning at the Sterling Community Hospital where she had been a patient since December 20.
Miss Calderwood was born April 19, 1894, in LeClair, Iowa, and came to Sterling in 1903. She moved to Hutchinson in 1941, then to Saratoga Springs, N.Y., in 1948, and returned to Sterling in 1967. She was a retired office employee.
She was a member of Sterling United Presbyterian Church and is survived by one brother, John Calderwood, Spring Hill and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Robert Orr Calderwood.
Funeral services were held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the Porter and Sillin Funeral Home with Rev. A. L. Spotts officiating. Burial was in the Sterling Community Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established for the United Presbyterian Church.

Jean Belle Calderwood was born on April 19, 1894, in Le Claire, Iowa, her father, William, was 55, and her mother, Mary, was 41. She had two brothers. She died on February 13, 1970, in Sterling, Kansas, at the age of 75, and was buried there.
