Sterling resident died Monday, April 30, 2001, at Colorado Springs at the age of 79.
He was born April 30, 1922, in Reno County, the son of Jacob and Ethel Ross Zimmerman. He was a rancher, farmer, and realtor/broker. Zimmerman. was a former Kansas Legislature member of the Reno County. He has lived in Colorado Springs since moving from Sterling.
On April 13, 1944, he married Mary Ann Bremyer.
Survivors include his wife, a son Marc, Alexandria, Va.; a daughter Margo Allenbach, Colorado Springs, and a granddaughter, Amy.
Memorial services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church, Colorado Springs. Another memorial service to be held in Sterling is planned for a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 420 N. Nevada Ave., Colorado Springs 80903.
