Sterling – Myrtie E. Trueheart, 89, died Sept. 2, 1982, at Lyons District Hospital after a long illness. Born Myrtie  E. Proctor March 13, 1893, at Corning, Iowa. She married Dr. Marion Trueheart April 18, 1917, at Garden City. He died July 14, 1946. She was a longtime Sterling resident.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church and P.E.O. both of Sterling.

Survivors: sons, Jack, Wilmette, Ill., Richard, Evanston, Ill.; Robert, Norman, Okla.; brother Walter Proctor, Pratt; sister, Dorothy Logue, Pratt; nine grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the church; the Rev. Bob Baer. Burial at Sterling Community Cemetery.
