The Rev. James Graves will conduct a graveside service for Dwight Allen McMurphy at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow in the Sterling Community Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 until 9 this evening at Porter and Sillin Funeral Home.
Mr. McMurphy died yesterday, February 2, 1992, in the Kansas Soldiers Home, Dodge City, at the age of 65. Born October 12, 1926, in Sterling to Dewey Arthur and Helen Alice Buel McMurphy, he was a lifetime resident and a farmer.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Sterling and a U.S. Army veteran of WWII.
Survivors are a brother, Duane, and a sister, Janet Bell, both of Sterling.
A memorial fund has been started for the Alzheimer’s Foundation, in care of the funeral home.
