He was a 1955 graduate of Sterling High School and a 1959 graduate of Sterling College. A Hutchinson resident since 1985, he was manager of the former Dock 44 Discount Store, Hutchinson, and at the time of his death was assistant manager of Gibson’s Discount Center, Garden City.He was a member of the Countryside Baptist Church, Hutchinson, and had served in the U.S. Army.On Aug. 22, 1959, he married Joan Marie Tigner at the United Methodist Church in Sterling.
