Lynn Marie Bates, 44, of New Castle, passed away October 2, 2021.
Lynn had a heart of gold and a contagious smile. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Lynn is survived by her children: Arnissa Gibson-Barnes, Dwayne Barnes, Jhareed Ayers and James Ayers; parents: William H. Bates, Sr. and Florence B Insley; grandchild, Kason Barnes; siblings: Lisa Bates, Kenneth (Tina) Bates and Joseph (Nicole) Bates; she is also survived by her companion, Burt Woods, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her sister, Jessita Bates.
A memorial service will be held for Lynn on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at the General Aterbury VFW Post 3420, 639 Churchmans Road, Newark, DE, 19702, at 2PM followed by a reception.
