Kaffie Lucille Alber, 76, of Sterling, Kansas, passed away August 9, 2024, at her daughter’s home in Morgan, Utah. She was born November 24, 1947, in Grand Island, Nebraska, the daughter of Merton and Lela (Stiles) Boroff. Kaffie has resided with her daughters in Morgan, UT for the past ten months, formerly of Sterling, KS and Coalville, UT. She attended school in Grand Island, NE. Kaffie was a homemaker. She enjoyed genealogy, crocheting, traveling and most of all taking care of her grandkids. On July 12, 1968, Kaffie was united in marriage with Thomas Howard “Tom” Alber in Lusk, Wyoming. He preceded her in death on July 25, 2023. She is also preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Leva Aufdenkamp, Kay Rieken, Carole Bejvoda, twin-sister, Karen Scott; and brother, Jack Boroff. Kaffie is survived by her four daughters, Debbra Sue Evans and husband Joe of Spanish Fork, UT, Stacy Ercanback of Coalville, UT, Angie Stuart and husband Guy of Morgan, UT, and Susan Richins and husband Gaylon of Morgan, UT; brother, Jim Boroff of Doniphan, NE; nine grandchildren, Amberly, Mycole, Jordan, Trevor, Tamara, Jennifer, Tanner, Baylee and Hayden; and fourteen great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be at 11:00 A.M., Friday, August 16, 2024, at the Sterling Community Cemetery. Memorials may be given to (MSAA) The Multiple Sclerosis Association of America in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Sterling.
