Donald N. Myers, 83, Derby, KS died Sunday, Aug. 15, 2004, at Sterling Presbyterian Manor. He was born April 18, 1921, in Bristol, Colo., the son of Champ Emer and Mary Lenore Thompson Myers. He was a retired Boeing modification engineer.
On July 3, 1943, he married Lanelda M. Smith at Hutchinson. She died Oct. 4, 2003. Survivors include a son, Timothy, Las Vegas, Nev.; two daughters, Donna Miller, Wichita, and Patricia Erskin, Garden City; a brother, Edward Sylvia; two sisters, Virginia Beard, Minneola, and Evelyn Hildebrand, Fowler; a step-brother, Donnell Axtell, Sterling; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
A son, Danny Ray, and a half-sister, Helen Ruth Axtell, preceded him in death.
Funeral service was at 10 a.m., Thursday at Wichita Westlink Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Graveside service was at 2 p.m. Thursday in Sterling Community Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Hospice Care of Kansas, in care of Smith Mortuary, Derby.
