ROBERT H. MILLER

Robert “Bob” H. Miller, a lifetime resident of Sterling, died Saturday, March 23, 1991, at St. Francis Regional Medical Center, Wichita, at the age of 56.

He was born July 25, 1931, at Sterling, the son of Melvin G. and Isabella McDill Miller. He was a carpenter and farmer, a member of the United Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge and Order of the Eastern Star, all at  Sterling, and was a U.S. Army veteran.

On Dec. 24, 1951, he married Kathleen “Katie” R. Miller at Delavan.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son, David Newton; a daughter, Melanie Miller, Lyons; two sisters, Hazel Warn, Sterling; and Helen Sterner, Taylor, Wis.; and three grandchildren, Elizabeth, and Brandi Fulton and Jacqueline Miller.

Services were held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at the Sterling United Methodist Church with the Rev. James Graves officiating. Burial was in the Sterling Community Cemetery with Masonic graveside rites. Porter and Sillin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association, to the American Lung Association or to the donor’s choice, all in care of the funeral home.
